Which Courier Do We Use? - We use between DPD, Yodel, & Royal Mail for deliveries, based on the recipient's location.

Shelf Life: Scones & Pasties last for 5 days; clotted cream for 5-7 days. For specific best before dates, check product packaging.

Poor service - don't bother if in N. Ireland

I ordered a cream tea for my mother for Easter, requested it be delivered to her in Northern Ireland, selected the date and placed the order. email received, all good.

On the Tuesday after Easter I got an email saying my order was being processed, which I was shocked by considering the items was meant to have been delivered 4 days prior, so I would expect it to have been processed before then.

I contacted the company to express my disappointment that the item was not delivered on the date requested during the sales process to be fairly abruptly told that it was my own fault and that I would have seen a message that this was not possible to deliver to NI on that date.

I subsequently countered that at no time did any such message appear on my screen, my confirmation email had the date of delivery that I had selected and my money left my account. If the date had been unavailable I certainly received no prompt or warning because if I had I would not have placed the order, the fact that it suggested it would be delivered for Easter was a key component in me placing the order.

So although apparently the cream tea was very nice, I won't use the company again. I would expect that if a delivery date is not available it would not be 'selectable' before placing the order or at the very least someone in customer service could have informed me of the issue once the order was received.

All in all not the experience I had hoped for really, so take this into consideration, especially if you live in or need delivery to somewhere that is considered difficult.
