First time trying saffron buns. They tasted nice but not enough raisins in them

The saffron buns are a great let down. They’re very small, flat and verging on unpleasant. Not like the plump and juicy ones I’ve bought elsewhere. Not recommended.

I brought this for my parents golden anniversary and the saffron buns wasn't in the package. As my parents had open it and not know I had got these extra I couldn't check to prove it hadn't come. The scones was amazing though always fresh and delicious.

The buns were very small and thin, with the texture of a genuine sea sponge, and also very dry. Perhaps they are meant to be like this? I was very disappointed, I was so looking forward to a proper saffron bun, and expected that I would be a regular customer, but it was not to be.

Thank you so much , my dad is from Cornwall but has lived here in Northern Ireland for 60 years , but he misses the things from home ....now ....if only you could send a Cornish pasty ,!!!!! That would be awesome 😎

Delicious treat for my husband and of course I couldn’t resist our favourite Cornish treat .
Arrived quickly , still lovely and fresh a few days later.

I placed the order before my father collapsed and wax admitted to Torbay hospital on his Birthday 29th June my mother was told his kidneys had failed and had days to live. On the 11th July at 23:35 he sadly passed away. He was born in Cornwall just before the out break of WW2. From Newlyn where my ancestors were fishermen. He wax related to the Stevenson’s. A great uncle had died in the Levant mi e disaster. Sadly he never got to eat his birthday food and we will eat it I. His honour.

I asked my brother as to what I could take over to Rhodes, as it was close to his birthday. He misses having saffron cake and buns. That order was just proper job.

Used to be able to buy these in Waitrose but they disappeared from the shelves. So glad we've found them at The Cornish Company 😁. Always buy a few packs to make the delivery charge worthwhile as they freeze really well. If you've never tried them they are a sort off cross between a scone and a current bun. Delicious buttered with a cup of tea.

We loved these saffron buns so much that we gave them as presents. Everyone enjoyed their delicious flavour with cream or butter or just straight from the packet. I am popular now.
