Winemaking
The Sauvignon grapes are harvested in October, the bunches are de-stemmed and pressed immediately into tank where the juice is chilled to clarify before we pitch the yeast in that transforms the beautifully clean juice into this stunning wine. Then after fermentation and racking we can finally filter and bottle the wine at the end of February ready for you to sample and enjoy.

About Polgoon:

After many years trading as fish merchants in Newlyn,  John and Kim Coulson decided they needed a new adventure. After buying a run-down flower farm in Penzance and following some advice from Bob Lindo at Camel Valley, they decided to plant vines and create their own Cornish vineyard.

  • Which Courier Do We Use? - We use between DPD, Yodel, & Royal Mail for deliveries, based on the recipient's location.
  • Perishable Goods: Some hampers contain perishable items. Please ensure they are refrigerated upon arrival.
  • Shelf Life: Scones & Pasties last for 5 days; clotted cream for 5-7 days. For specific best before dates, check product packaging.

Choosing Your Delivery Date:

  • Availability: Select your preferred date on the cart page, with deliveries available from Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Exclusions: Delivery is not available on Sundays and Mondays.
  • AM Delivery: Morning delivery options are also available.

Tasty Accident

By a string of strange luck we had accidentily acquired one of these boxes, after contacting the company we were told to keep it and glad that we did as it was a rather tasty treat and would highly recommend this to anyone as a gift or a casual treat.

Loved this hamper. The scones as always ere terrific and the addition of the 2 smaller cakes turned out to be a great idea. They were tasty and very moreish. They would be a great idea for a larger edition.

Out With Flowers.....In With Cream Teas!

First time ordering....but won't be the last. Wanted to send wee 'get well' gift (other than flowers), & so glad that I chose The Cornish Co. The recipient was delighted with the cream tea - very fresh & tasty.....they loved the presentation, together with the step-by-step guide (it's important to get it right 😉 lol).
