About Furniss

Furniss has been baking biscuits in Cornwall since 1886, when master baker John Cooper Furniss opened his first teashop in the heart of Truro. More than a century later, they’re still proudly baking in Cornwall using recipes inspired by that same tradition.

  • Free Next Day Delivery: This applies to all collections except for the Cornish Food Drink Section & Cards/Gifts

  • Out of area Deliveries:  Areas where this may apply include:

    Scotland including the Highlands and Islands, Isle of Skye, Isle of Mull, and other Hebridean Islands, Orkney and Shetland Islands,

    Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Channel Islands

    For out of area we always recommend choosing the day before your desired delivery date at checkout, this should ensure that your order is delivered either the day before or on the day of your special event

  • Delivery Availability: Choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, with delivery available Tuesday to Saturday up to 3 months in advance.

  • Delivery Options: Standard delivery will be delivered between 7am to 9pm or there is an option for a delivery before 12pm for an additional charge. 

    Please Note: All deliveries are made on a "leave safe" service, meaning if your intended recipient is not in, your parcel will be left safe and a picture provided for your reference.

  • Which Courier Do We Use? - We use between DPD, InPost, & Royal Mail for deliveries, based on the recipient's location.

  • Perishable Goods: Some hampers contain perishable items. Please ensure they are refrigerated upon arrival.

  • Shelf Life: Scones & Pasties last for 5 days; clotted cream for 5-7 days. For specific best before dates, check product packaging.

Choosing Your Delivery Date:

  • Availability: Select your preferred date on the checkout page up to 3 months in advance, with deliveries available from Tuesday to Saturday.

  • Exclusions: Delivery is not available on Sundays, Mondays or the day immediately following a Bank Holiday

  • AM Delivery: Morning delivery options are also available.

Chocolate brownies came in a large box and it said on box put in fridge, my parents thought it was a crram tea because of the box and they sounded disappointed when it was not then made me feel bad

My order arrived so quickly. I received a box of these for my birthday and one bite with a cup of smugglers brew and I was hooked! The yummiest biscuits ever, ginger spice and one is never enough 🙈 An essential accompaniment to your favourite brew and they are perfect for dunking as they don’t fall apart - a mighty biscuit indeed. Memories...

Purchased some of these to take home from a holiday in Cornwall during my teens. Now in my seventies, I sent for a packet of these to go with a Cornish cream tea for my husband's birthday. Memories did not let me down, the taste is still unbelievably good!
